Introducing business literacy
and the end of Occam's Data
It has been over a year since I started Occam’s Data. It has also been several months since my last post.
I haven’t posted in awhile for a few reasons. Mostly related to my personal life. But another reason is that I now have a new objective with my writing.
With Occam’s Data, the objective was to simplify how we talk about data. My theory was that if we could explain data in a way that our stakeholders could understand, then they would benefit from data more. Data literacy → Business → Data-Driven.
My new objective is the reverse. Business literacy → Data → Data-Driven.
I will tackle this new objective on a new newsletter called They’re Counting On You: business literacy for data professionals in under 5 minutes. You can sign up for this newsletter here.
I want to thank you all for being early adopters of Occam’s Data. I value your commitment to help fill the gap between data and the business. I invite you to join me in my new efforts toward this cause at They’re Counting On You.
All the best,
Zack
